Hi Justin,
Here’s what you can try:
Method 1: Run the hardware troubleshooter.
You might be able to solve some problems by running a troubleshooter that will automatically fix some common issues with hardware.
Follow the steps to run the troubleshooter:
a.Press Windows key + C on your keyboard to show the Charms bar.
b.Type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting under Settings.
c.Now type Hardware Troubleshooter in the Search option.
Intel Usb 30 Host Controller Driver Windows 7 32 Bit Windows 10
d.Click on Hardware troubleshooter to run the troubleshooter.
Method 2: You may check after uninstalling and reinstalling the USB drivers if you are able to connect. You may disconnect all USB devices and then perform the following steps:
Please uninstall the USB drivers.
a.Press Windows key + X and click Device Manager.
b.Expand USB (Universal Serial Bus) Adapters.
c.Right click on the each Adapter’s name and click Un-install.
d.After uninstalling the all the drivers please restart the computer, as restarting the computer will install the drivers, automatically.
If the issue sill persists I would request you to check for chipset driver updates which you can get at the manufacturer website. The chipset drivers normally incorporate USB controller drivers as well.
Method 3: Also restore the default settings in BIOS and make sure it is updated to the latest.
Important: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

Windows 7
Hello to everyone,
So, before some time I had Win 8 and everything was fine. After a while I have had installed fresh Win 8.1 system. After that I tried and tried to make USB 3.0 in function but not successful. Trying everything, reinstalling, looking from ASUS website for drivers, but then I agreed with myself that I will wait until Win 10 came out so I had hope that this will solve my problem but it didn't! :-( I also looked on forums, different threads but no luck. I have got ASUS laptop G55VW (ROG series) and on ASUS website there is no drivers for win 10 (except 8 and 9 Series chipset) and yes, it's good to know if someone could help me, my chipset is HM77 Ivy Bridge.
Thank you in advance!
Ivan
