Ok so in the new Scott Games teaser for the second FNAF novel, The Twisted Ones, we got some new characters. One of them being a new Twisted animatronic which looks like a wolf.

The second I saw this picture I was instantly reminded of the dancing shadow in FNAF World.

The shadow looks the same as this new wolf character, and also the backgrounds are the same. Same dead trees, and snow in the background. And there is a glitch in the middle of this Twisted Wolf animatronic, similar to how there were glitches in FNAF World that we traveled through.
UPDATE:
Many people have been clinging onto the theory that the mysterious shadow in FNAF World is Freddy, and I have been asked to spot the similarities between the Wolf and the Shadow character. The location the Wolf is in has snow and dead trees in the background, similar to the ones in the Dusting Fields in FNAF World. There is also a glitch on the Wolf's body similar to the glitches we see in FNAF World. I am not saying that the book is link to FNAF World at all. Although that would be an interesting theory, it is not what I'm suggesting. I am just saying that the dancing shadow we see in FNAF World is the same character as the Wolf we see in the new teaser. Just like how we see Freddy in FNAF World, but the game isn't canon. My apologies if I didn't make that clear in the original post... As for the similarities between the dancing shadow and the wolf, they both are grey and have slim torsos. As for the head of the dancing shadow, there is a grinning smile and tuffs of hair on the cheeks similar to the Wolf. And the dancing shadow clearly has 2 pointy ears on top of the head. Looking at the Freddy sprites used in the game, his ears are on the side, and a top hat in the middle. While the dancing shadow has 2 ears on top and no hat at all... With all of this in mind, this leads me to believe that this is not Freddy and is actually this new Wolf character.
Hopefully this clears up any confusion. Once again, sorry for not being clear in my original post...

Now don't worry, this isn't another post about the twisted animatronics being the nightmare animatronics, i think most people believe that by now. I just came to a realisation that's pretty disturbing and explains how William gets away with murder.

The following text is copied from a comment i made, because i think i explained it pretty well: What if the ice cream girl IS the pigtail girl from FNaF 4, but she already died before FNaF 4? That sounds like it doesn't make sense, but i can explain it, and it does make sense. (SPOILERS FOR THE TWISTED ONES) What if the audio devices used on the twisted animatronics are ALSO being used on the kids in the neighbourhood? As in, the kids in the neighbourhood in the FNaF 4 minigames aren't actually real kids. They're robots or something of the sort, with audio devices on them that are causing the bite victim to hallucinate them as real people, just like how the audio devices cause the characters in the twisted ones to percieve the animatronics as monsters. Remember, the hallucination is based on how you think of the characters, so maybe the kids in the neighbourhood are all actually dead and william built robots based on them or something, so the bite victim percieves them as being the real people he used to know. This is also why he is afraid of animatronics in Fredbears, because he percieves them as literal monsters, and also why the bullies aren't scared of them. This could also mean that William could kill as many people as he wanted and life would still go on within the area and none would be the wiser.
So that's how William gets away with killing people. If he can simply make everyone hallucinate that the people he killed are still alive, especially the family members and friends of the deceased, then there's very little ways he could be caught. This could potentially mean that the entire town in FNaF 4 or at least a lot of it is full of dead people replaced by robots.
EDIT: I came to another realisation that was pretty big too. People say that the fredbear plush in FNaF 4 can't be William Afton talking to the bite victim with a walkie talkie, since we see the purple guy in the same room as the bite victim(which would most likely be William) in FNaF 4, while the fredbear plush is talking to the bite victim, which obviously doesn't really make sense since William would have to take the elevator all the way back down to circus babys in order to see through the cameras and talk to him with the walkie talkie.
What i'm saying is, is the 'purple guy' we see in FNaF 4 is not actually William, but rather a robot replica with an audio device that causes the bite victim to hallucinate and think it is William (his father). William made a robot replica of himself so the bite victim would never suspect that William was controlling the Fredbear plush and that he was monitoring him.

From what i can tell this theory can solve many of the major contradictions between FNaF 4 and SL that we've been breaking our backs over trying to explain in the past.
